"Three km of street light cables stolen"..sumber : The Star Online.

KUCHING: An engineer reported the loss of more than RM10,000 worth of street light cables at Sungai Gatal on Saturday.
Nurashikin Pauzi, 29, from Jalan Setia Raja reported that her superior asked her to check on the street lights near Sungai Gatal after receiving complaints from the public.
So at 9am last Saturday, Nurashikin went to the area with a friend.
At Sungai Gatal, she found that the power supply was not the problem. The problem was some three kilometres of electric cables had been cut and stolen. The weight of the cables was estimated at three tonnes so it would have taken a few persons to move them.
Nurashikin then went to Kota Sentosa Police Station to report the theft. The cables are expected to be replaced soon.
In a separate case, more than RM20,000 worth of serving dishes were stolen from a restaurant in a hotel near Santubong on Friday.
The sales manager, Robert Nabed Lofez, reported this to the police at 3pm last Saturday.
He said he was informed about it by his supervisor at 5pm Friday.
The supervisor said that 13 sets of round serving dishes worth at RM1,200 each and four sets of long serving dishes worth RM1,500 each were missing.
Robert had reported the loss to his manager and both of them believed that a security guard was the theft suspect.
He stated in his report lodged at Santubong Police Station that the only way to enter the kitchen was through the sentry point.
He added that the guard also had a key to the kitchen.
The police was now on the case.
